Mr. Emmanuel Victor Asare

Mr. Emmanuel Victor Asare – Mr. E. V. Asare is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana). He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He also holds Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the same institution. He was one of the team of consultants who undertook FOAT project in the Ashanti Region in 2012 for JEAVCO Associates Limited.

Mr. E. V. Asare has over thirty (30) years’ experience in both internal and external auditing, financial accounting and financial management in both public and private sectors (including Donor Funded Projects) after being trained at Peat Marwick Casselton Elliot & Co. (a firm of Chartered Accountants, now known as KPMG). He has over fifteen (15) years’ successful track record in performance assessment instrument and participatory methodologies as well as capacity building in the local government sector for efficient service delivery. Mr. E. V Asare has held management positions in internal auditing in large government organization with branches throughout the country including the three Upper Regions, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region, Greater Accra Region and the Central Region. He had also been engaged as Chief Accountant and Director of Finance respectively in reputable government organizations. He has been exposed to various systems of accounting and auditing (both computerized and manual) during his training and practices as management staff in auditing and accounting, and that included management and control of projects funds which were provided by donor institutions such as KfW, IDA, USAID, etc. Mr.  E. V. Asare is skilled with reviewing internal control systems and introducing controls to reduce or eliminate inherent risk in organizations.

Mr. E. V. Asare was Group Chief Accountant at GIHOC Head Office as well as GIHOC Pharmaceutical Company Limited from 1987 to 1997. He worked as Director of Finance at Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) from 1997 to 2010. He was a member of Education and Training Committee for the Instituted of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) from 2002 to 2009. He participated in the development of new syllabus for the examinations of the Institute in 2008. He is the Senior Partner of the firm.
